Another scorching harsh industrial metal pandemonium arises from the mangled mechanized sonic dystopia of one man post-industrial subverter 8 Hour Animal. With new full-length album "Kill Your Boss", the New York state-based solo artist takes its concept of absolute abjection and rejection for society via violent, home made, aural deconstructionism to new reality-shattering heights. An onslaught of heavy rhythmics and cold sequences assaults the listener while concepts like societal alienation, industrial exploitation, rogue capitalism, and depersonalization through modern day slavery are driven home and pounded into the listener's mind through an inescapable power electronics assault armored with a sheath of grinding guitars as thick as concrete. The souls of defining acts in the industrial legacy like Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Godflesh, Controlled Bleeding, :Wumpscut:, Wolf Eyes, Skullflower, Incapacitants, and Coil are reaped from the fabric of musical transformation and re-funneled into a violent dysmorphic mutation where all their extremities are exalted and an obsession with violence, nihilism and acts of self-destruction become the defining shaping medium of five long, immense, obsessive and bludgeoning anthems to the choice of non-existence in the face of servitude.
